Diro is a cinema discovery app focused on film directors. Search directors and films, follow your favourites, explore full filmographies, rate films, track what you've seen, and discover upcoming releases, all through the director's lens.

Yes. Diro has a generous free tier: 5 favourite directors, 10 interested directors, 100 watchlist items, 100 film ratings, limited filmography depth (full directing and writing credits; capped acting/other credits), and Starter Packs, Collections, and Mood on Home. Premium adds up to 10 favourites, full filmographies, all home filters, and director-grouped watchlist and ratings views.

Diro is launching on iOS and Android. Join the waitlist on our Download page to be notified when the app is available in the App Store and Google Play.

Most movie apps help you find individual titles. Diro is built for people who think in directors: follow auteurs, browse their complete filmographies, track progress, rate films, and get daily recommendations from your tracked directors via Tonight's Pick.

Film and director metadata, posters, and watch provider information come from The Movie Database (TMDB). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

You can delete your account from the Settings screen in the app under the Danger section. This permanently removes your profile, favourites, watchlist, ratings, and all associated data within 30 days.

Premium subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Cancel through your store account subscription settings. Your Premium features remain active until the end of the current billing period.
